Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about our services

What are the prerequisites for joining a flight training program?

Applicants must be at least 17 years old with a valid passport or national ID. English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) at ICAO Level 4 or higher is required. Medical fitness certification and vision requirements must also be met. We provide guidance through the entire certification process.

How long does it take to obtain a pilot license?

The duration varies by program. Private Pilot License (PPL) typically takes 3-4 months, Commercial Pilot License (CPL) takes 4-6 months, and Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) takes 6-8 months. These timelines assume full-time training. Part-time options are also available.

Do you offer financing options for training programs?

Yes, we offer flexible payment plans and work with several financial institutions to provide financing options. We also provide guidance on government grants and aviation scholarships. Contact our enrollment team to discuss options that suit your budget.

What aircraft does Base 7 use for training?

Our modern fleet includes Cessna 172 Skyhawks for basic training, Piper PA-34 Seneca for multi-engine training, and advanced aircraft for commercial operations training. All aircraft are regularly maintained and equipped with modern avionics systems.

Are your certifications recognized internationally?

Absolutely! All our programs comply with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards and are recognized by aviation authorities worldwide. Our graduates can fly internationally and are recognized by airlines globally.

Do you provide job placement assistance after graduation?

Yes! We provide career counseling, resume preparation, and job placement assistance to qualified graduates. With a 95% employment placement rate within 6 months of graduation, our graduates are in high demand across East Africa and beyond.
